Natural Attractions
Ballıdağ (mountain):
It is a fabulous area where the nature offers surprises generously. Ballıdağ with an altitude of 1.570 m is a forestland containing the most intense oxygen sources and cradle of wild life. It hosts one of the biggest sanatoriums of Turkey as a result of its oxygen-rich feature.
Küre Mountains National Park:
The chains of Mountains of Küre running parallel along the coastline of the Black Sea reaches its mountaintop with Yaralıgöz Mountain with an altitude of 2019. Küre Mountains National Park covering an area of 34 thousands of hectares preserves worldwide known canyons, waterfalls, inns and rich wildlife.
Ilgaz National Park:
The National Park consisting of valleys, crests and hilltops presents extraordinary landscaping examples. It is possible to see in this region some types of plants and flowers, rarely found in the world. Winter sports are organized on 2.587 m high Ilgaz Mountain, covered with snow in 6 months of the year.
