Kastamonu Region

Alipaşa Mosque:
Located in Honsalar village; and it is thought to be built in the 13th Century during the Candaroğulları Principality Period.

Honsalar Bath:
The bath has been built in 1666 and erected by Khorasan Technique.

Village Kasaba, Mahmutbey Mosque:
The mosque, construction of which was started in the most prosperous period of Candaroğulları Principality is the product of the 14th century. Furthermore, it contains all characteristics of the Seljuk Architecture. All characteristics of wooden engraving and painting art were taken advantage of in its construction and it is one of the most extraordinary examples of its type. The mosque that is opened to warship only on Friday prayer during Fridays forms up a peak point of the wooden art belonging to the Era of the Turkish Principalities. It was embroidered with various numbers of geometric figures and a real kündekâri technique. Especially the abutments of minbar, outer part, minaret structure, entrance door and inner parts reflect the most magnificent mastership and functioning of its period. No one, who has taken part in the construction of the mosque, is known at current period. It is located in the region where Ilgaz, İsfendiyar and Ballıdağ knotted and its life develops in parallel to the forest.

Daday Government Office:
The foundation was laid by the Governor of Kastamonu, who came to Daday on the date of August 04, 1891 and the construction of it was completed in a short period of time, namely 3 months and 20 days. The walls and ceiling of the said office were caused to be ornamented in 1983 by the town-governor, Poet Eşref. It was visited by Mustafa Kemal(Atatürk) on the date of August 30, 2006

Kastamonu Daday Hükümet Konağı

Daday Köpekçioğlu Mansion:
The mansion, visited by Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk), was built in 1912. It is seen that the carpet and eave motifs that are applied at the established architecture of the art of tent in Central Asia reflected into the wood processing art at the façade and building pediments on this mansion as well. It is used as a centre for handicrafts at our current period.

Balaban Mansion:
This mansion, made of 2-storey wooden masonry, was built in 1636. This mansion taking place within the Hacı İsmail Ağa Farm in Daday is located on the foot of a hill for a small wood. This is one of the Turkish Mansions, date of which could have been determined.

Castles:
There are two castles, built up with the objective of surveillance at previous periods. One of them is the Sarel Castle taking place within the boundaries of the Bezirkan Alderman Office and the other, however, takes place at Kızsini location that it covered at the Kızsini location.

Residence of Grandfather of Ecevit:
It is not known much but the father side of the famous Turkish politician, poet and journalist Mr. Bulent Ecevit originally come from Daday and the country house where the grandfathers of Mr. Ecevit used to live once has a distinguished place from the point of view of architectural history of the region as much as that of socio-political aspect. This is because the cupboard, door and ceiling decorations of the room at the south-western side of the house maintains its rare and precious examples of carpentry work, created by a nail-free insertion system, called as “Kündekari”, for centuries.
